Wyoming began recording births and deaths in 1909. Although very few birth and death records were kept at the county level prior to that time, please contact the County Clerk in the appropriate county. For birth and death records beginning in July 1909 and marriage records from May 1941, contact:

MARRIAGE RECORDS 

Earlier marriages were recorded by the County Clerk in the county where the license was issued. All Wyoming marriage records from 1869 to 1970 are available from the Wyoming State Archives and Historical Department for all Wyoming counties.

All Laramie County marriage records from 1868 are located in the Laramie County Clerk's office, as well as the Wyoming State Archives, and the Genealogy Department at the Laramie County Library. An alpha Bride and Groom list for marriage licenses issued from 1868 to 1906 is located here.


OBITUARIES

The Laramie County Library System has copies of obituaries published in Laramie County newspapers beginning in 1950.   The External link opens in new tab or windowWyoming State Archives has microfilm of various Wyoming local newspapers dating back to 1868.

Frances E. Warren Air Force Base.  This cemetery is located on Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming. It was established on September 20, 1867 (as part of the then Fort D. A. Russell) by General John D. Stevenson the first post commander. The cemetery is now closed for burials except for relatives that have spaces reserved near their kin.
